The Little Karoo has the second largest plant biome on the planet, only to be exceeded by the tropics. There are many types of fynbos and cacti, making this area a plant lover's paradise. It is where the geranium was originally discovered in the mid 1800's and taken to London's Kew Gardens for domestication. We recommend that you buy a copy of the book "Field Guide to Fynbos" by John Manning. It will help you identify the plants you discover here.
